In 2024, I spent a year living in Paris. During my time there, I was deeply moved by the vibrant passion for ceramics and the high regard for Japan as the ultimate "pottery paradise." So many people I met shared the same sincere dream: “I want to experience authentic Japanese pottery in its homeland.”

Having been born and raised in Echizen—home to one of Japan’s "Six Ancient Kilns"—I realized from a distance that I held the key to fulfilling these dreams. With access to traditional workshops and the support of master artisans, I felt a calling: to be the bridge that connects these two worlds.

I must admit, I once saw my hometown as a quiet place where "nothing ever happens." But through the eyes of those abroad, I am seeing it in a completely different light. I am excited to discover how the understated beauty of my home will shine when shared with the world.
